We are always grateful for the support of our community, but there is one day a year that is special. Small Business Saturday is coming up in about a week’s time. So what exactly is Small Business Saturday? And why is it so important? It’s a topic that any local business man or woman loves to discuss.
Black Friday is traditionally the day known for crowded malls and the shop-till-you-drop flurry as people rush to begin their holiday shopping. But the day after that has taken on new significance. Known as Small Business Saturday, it is a day to skip the large box stores and instead visit all the small, locally owned businesses. It’s a day to make your dollars count as you put them back into the community where you live, play, and raise your family. Local retailers love this day because for them it represents a promise that in the year to come, they can count on community support. They see that customers understand the hard work, love, and sacrifice put into being retailers in the community. It’s a day to celebrate all that being a local business means.
We are a store that is built on local vendors. We are your neighbors and your friends. We are the people you run into the grocery store, and the people you sit next to at church. We are PTA moms, and grandmothers and grandfathers. We love what we do, and love being part of a small, local business. And we appreciate the support of the community we live in.
So come join us! We’ll be open Saturday, November 26th from 9am until 5pm. Yes, we’re even opening early! We’d love to help you with your holiday shopping so that you can make sure each gift you give is truly unique, and that you can say with pride that you supported small, local businesses.
Thanks for your support, and happy holidays!
